Byron Bay is also known for the events and festival held throughout the year, for the music lovers the Blues Festival at Easter and Splendour in the Grass in Jul-Aug. For the athletes, the Ocean Swim Classic in May and the Byron triathlon. Let’s not forget the foodies with the Taste of Byron. Now for the educated the Byron Bay Writers Festival in August. Byron also has a local market on the first Sunday of every month and a farmers market with lots of local produce every Thursday.
